Turkmenistan

Currently, this blog will be used for my thoughts, pictures, and excerpts from letters I send home from Turkmenistan. I will be in Turkmenistan from October 1, 2008 until December of 2010. You can send me letters and packages using the address to the right.
Many thanks to my family for posting updates to this blog as I will most likely have limited internet access over the next few years.

End of the Semester!!!

It is finally over! I turned in the last paper tonight at 7:00 pm. It really feels wonderful not to have any obligations and to truly be able to relax!

The ER

Spending my evening in the ER was probably one of the coolest things I have done in a very long time! It was great! Hopfully I'll be able to do this sort of thing again and soon! Have a great evening all!

Emergency Room!

Tomorrow I get to shadow Dr. Boris Beckert in the emergency room! I am terribly excited about it and can't wait! I am not, however, allowed to discuss anything I see in the emergency room so my excitement will have to be held in and not shared with all of you.

On a different note I am going to the Twins game tonight with my grandparents and an aunt and a cousin I believe. I am also pretty excited about that as I don't get to see my grandparents more than once or twice a year.

I still have two finals and two papers to finish up with before I'm done for the semester. Classes ended today which I am thrilled about!

I also really would like to catch the body worlds exhibit at the science museum before I head home for the summer!

Lots of things coming up and lots to do before I am done with the semester but the end is in sight!

Summer is almost here!

Well the countdown has begun - really it started a while ago but that's ok. I have 1 presentation tomorrow, one paper due soon, exam next Wednesday, Honors day Thursday, and two finals left! I go home to Waukesha on the 20th so you can catch me there then. I am terribly excited about the prospect of summer being here again. I am also excited to hopfully ride ambulances this summer and work at Essential again and spend time with all of my friends and family back home! I get to spend 10 days in Europe at the beginning of August. Lots of things to fill my summer and I continue to become more and more excited!

On a very different note I am thinking of starting some sort of Hamline Pre-med students program where we would be able to work at a free clinic somewhere around here to get experience etc. It is in the thought processes right now.
